New Gardasil 9 (HPV 9) Recommendations

The CDC is now recommending that children ages 9-14 receive only two doses of the Gardasil 9 (HPV 9) vaccine at least 6 months apart rather than the previously recommended three doses to protect against the cancers caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) infections. Teens and young adults who start the series later at ages 15 through 26 years of age will continue to need three doses of HPV 9 vaccine to protect against cancer causing HPV infections.
