Welcome Larissa Fernandez, LAT, ATC

Comprehensive Childcare Associates is pleased to announce the addition of Larissa Fernandez to the practice! Larissa is a Certified Athletic Trainer who specializes in evaluation, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. Larissa will provide personalized patient care and communication while working alongside our staff as an extension of our physicians.

Larissa was raised in Sarasota, FL where she attended Ashton Elementary, McIntosh Middle, and graduated from Sarasota High in 2011. During these years, Larissa was an elite ballet dancer under the training of Denise Lose at Gulf Coast Ballet.

In 2015, Larissa graduated from The University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine with a Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training and a Minor in Public Health. Larissa is a Board Certified Athletic Trainer licensed in the State of Florida. Upon graduation, In 2015-2016, Larissa started her Athletic Training career in the secondary school setting at Sickles High School in Tampa, FL. Larissa then moved to Orlando, FL where she was the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Lake Highland Preparatory School from 2016-2019.

Larissa is developing many new programs that will provide an array of services at Comprehensive Child Care. Our new North Port office will include an Athletic Training Facility for orthopedic injury evaluation and rehabilitation, Healthy Lifestyles Programs, and a Sports Concussion Clinic with ImPACT Certified Practitioners.
